Dr Mark Willis

Mark has been a consultant psychiatrist since 2003, working in the Yorkshire region until moving to the Northeast in 2015. He has worked in general psychiatry in both inpatient and community services, with special interests in Systemic Family Therapy and community treatment of eating disorders for most of that time. He has worked part-time as an inpatient consultant at the specialist regional eating disorder units in both Yorkshire and Newcastle. He has previously engaged in private practice at The Retreat Hospital, York. He has always held a firm belief in the importance of a holistic understanding and approach and applied this to the full range of adult mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, mood instability, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders and psychosis.

Mark values a transparent and collaborative approach to working with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
